So often, modernizations and movie adaptations get a bad rap, and those who love the heart and soul of the original works fume at them with just indignation. But every once in a while, the adaptation isn’t bad. Every so often, they bring old worlds to new people, and that’s the best thing there is.

I am completely fascinated by the way Sherlock moves in the clip from ASiP. He’s literally stepping toward John before his brain/mouth catch up.
I also really love that they only physically grab each other twice, once each. John looks surprised. Sherlock doesn’t. At all.
I’ve spent the best part of five minutes just looking at these gifs without any intelligent thoughts forming in my head… They’re just so perfect.
